| 존경하는 한국바이오칩학회 회원님들께, 유난히 태풍도 많고 더웠던 여름이 지나가고 어느덧 단풍으로 물들은 가을의 한가운데 와있습니다. 수확의 계절을 맞아 모두가 풍성하고 건강하게 올 한해도 잘 마무리 하시길 기원드립니다. 2019년 한국바이오칩학회 추계학술대회를 제주 신화월드 랜딩호텔에서 개최하게 된 것을 기쁘게 생각합니다. 회원 여러분들과 함께 제주의 가을을 체험하고, 이번 추계학술대회의 주제인 "Biochips for Resolving Human Diseases"의 의미를 되새김과 동시에 국내 바이오칩 관련 기술과 산업이 인간 질병을 이해하고 극복하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 계기를 만들고자 합니다. 최근 인간의 질병을 이해하고 극복하기 위해 새로운 체외진단기술, 바이오센서, Bio-Molecules-on-a-chip, Organ-on-a-chip, Cell-on-a-chip, Bio—Nano-on-a-chip, 나노물질을 이용한 진단과 치료, 바이오멤스, 헬스케어 등 바이오칩 관련기술의 발전이 급속하게 이뤄지고 있습니다. 이를 통해 우리는 미래 고부가가치 신사업을 앞당길 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다. 이러한 의미에서 이번 학술대회에서는 서울아산병원의 박찬정 교수님과KIST의 김인산 박사님을 기조연사로 모셔서 암에 대한 면역반응 그리고 면역 치료에 대한 기조 강연을 준비하였습니다. 아울러 2019년 학술대상 수상자이신 한림대학교의 성건용 교수님의 특별강연도 준비하였습니다. 그리고 IBS 첨단연성물질연구단의 스페셜 세션도 준비되어 있습니다. 그밖에 학연병관산 해당 분야별 총 32분의 초청연사들께서도 최신 바이오칩기술의 소개와 함께 바이오칩 기반 기술을 이용한 인간 질병의 해석과 극복에 대해 논하는 자리가 만들어질 예정입니다. 바쁘신 가운데도 발표를 수락해 주시고, 알찬 학술프로그램을 구성하는 데 도움을 주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 이번 추계학술대회를 통해 학술적 교류는 물론 회원간 친목을 다져 새로운 시대의 도전과 기회를 공유하는 계기가 마련되기를 바랍니다. 학술대회를 차질 없이 준비해 주신 김상경 사무총장, 조규봉 학술/교육위원회 위원장 및 학회 분과위원장을 중심으로 한 학술대회 준비 TFT 위원들께 감사의 마음을 전합니다. 650여명의 회원들이 참석해서 성공적인 개최가 되었던 지난 춘계학술대회에 이어 이번 추계학술대회에서도 회원 여러분들의 적극적인 참여를 부탁드리며, 지속적으로 한국바이오칩학회에 큰 관심과 사랑을 보내 주시기를 바니다. 감사합니다. 2019. 11.
