■ 인사말

(사)한국바이오칩학회 회원 여러분

2022년 한국바이오칩학회 춘계학술대회를 부산 파라다이스 호텔에서 개최하게 된 것을 매우 기쁘게 생각합니다. 코로나 판데믹이 막바지에 이른 가운데, 거리두기도 점차 해제되고 위드코로나로 가고 있는 상황이지만 저희 한국바이오칩학회는 회원들의 안전한 학술대회 참여를 위해 현장 학술발표와 함께 온라인 학술대회를 병행해서 개최하게 되었습니다. 춘계학술대회에서는 Plenary Session, Keynote Session, Invited Session 등 대부분의 초청 강연을 현장 및 온라인으로 제공할 예정입니다.

존경하는 회원 여러분! 이번 춘계학술대회의 주제는 “Biochips in the Transition Period”입니다. 지난 2년간의 전세계적인 코로나 판데믹으로 우리 모두가 이전에 경험해 보지 못한 어려운 시기를 겪어왔습니다. 하지만, 한국바이오칩학회의 회원 여러분과 여러 협력회원사들의 노력과 헌신으로 코로나 판데믹 상황 가운데서도 수많은 학문적 성과와 함께 산업화면에서도 “K-바이오”의 저력을 보여 주었다고 생각합니다. 이제는 그동안 일궈왔던 “K-바이오”와 함께 앞으로 뉴노멀 시기에 우리가 나아갈 방향을 살펴봐야 할 때라고 생각합니다. 이번 한국바이오칩학회 춘계학술대회는 전세계적인 변혁의 시기에 지난 한국바이오칩학회가 걸어왔던 시간들을 돌아보고, 앞으로 나아갈 바를 준비하는 시간이 될 것으로 기대합니다.

이번 춘계학술대회에서는 Texas A&M University의 Frances S. Ligler 교수님, Duke University의 Tony Jun Huang 교수님, POSTECH의 차형준 교수님 등 세계적 석학들을 기조강연자로 모셔서 귀한 강의를 들을 수 있는 기회를 마련하였습니다. 무엇보다 이번 학회에서는 산학연병 연구의 활성화를 위해 medical unmet needs 세션을 마련하여, 부산대학교 의생명연구원장 김형회 교수님을 기조강연자로, 서울아산병원 의생명연구소장 조유숙 교수님을 keynote 연자로 초빙하고, 세 분의 저명한 임상의사를 모셔서 우리 한국바이오칩학회가 더욱 임상과 접목되는 연구를 진행할 수 있는 계기가 되도록 준비했습니다. 또한 CEVI 융합연구단세션, 과기부 연구장비산업 간담회 등을 통해 실질적인 산업화 현장과 관련된 프로그램을 마련했으며, 포스터 세션, tutorial 세션 및 과학기술 커리어 멘토링 세션 등을 통해, 우리 학회의 가장 중요한 자산인 학생들이 자신을 개발하고 미래를 준비할 수 있는 세션을 준비했습니다. 이와 함께, nucleic acid-based materials, biomems, biomaterials for cell engineering, nanobio convergence, biosensors, biophotonics/bioimaging, implantable devices 세션에서 국내 최고 전문가이신 교수님들을 초빙하여, 각 연구분야의 최신 지견과 경험들을 들을 수 있는 시간을 마련했습니다. 이외에도 국제화 시대에 발맞추어 학회의 역량을 확대하기 위해 대부분의 세션에서는 동시에 international session이 진행되어 언어적 장벽을 낮추기 위해 노력했습니다.

좋은 학술대회는 훌륭한 연자와 좋은 학회 시스템도 중요하지만, 무엇보다 학회원들의 적극적인 참여가 가장 중요하다고 생각합니다. 연구는 혼자서는 할 수 없습니다. 함께할 때 융합의 진정한 힘이 나타나리라 믿습니다. 그동안, 연구에 몰두하면서 이룬 결과물들을 함께 나누고, 연구의 최신 동향을 들으며, 함께 연구할 수 있는 좋은 연구자들을 만나는 장이 되는 2022년 한국바이오칩학회 춘계학술대회가 되기를 소망합니다. 학술대회 장소 선정부터 프로그램 구성과 연자섭외 등 학술대회 전반을 준비해 주신 이정헌 사무총장님, 도준상 학술위원장님과 학술위원님들 그리고, 각 분과위원회의 위원장님들 모두에게 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 전합니다.

한국바이오칩학회 회원여러분, 춘계학술대회에 오셔서 마음껏 공부하고, 그동안 만나지 못했던 소중한 우리 회원들과 즐거운 소통의 시간을 보내시기 바랍니다. 싱그러운 5월, 해운대에서 뵙겠습니다.
